Specialization
The main focus of my research is small and large scale soil processes such as organic material decomposition or nutrient mineralization. I frequently use the knowledge and concepts of general microbiology and ecological stoichiometry to study the rate and direction of these processes as mediated by the activity of the soil microbial community.
